Foundational Practice #1  Embodied Gratitude

While gratitude is trending with people saying 'thank you' ... let's acknowledge something... Saying thank you is NOT gratitude... and surface level gratitude is not EMBODIED gratitude.  So what's the difference and how does it show up in your life? The Journey's first act of servitude is to help our women develop five embodied practices.  Five very specific way of not just reacting to life, but of intentionally designing their life.   And everything starts with gratitude.

About the Creator

Meet Caley Carroll, founder of I AM: Journey. While gratitude had long been a steady part of her life, her practice deepened profoundly after her 20-month-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Over the next three years, she navigated the realities of caregiving while doing her best to share and support other cancer patients and mothers facing similar battles. It was during this season that the tools now woven into these programs became more than concepts — they became anchors. What began as personal practice evolved into a structured approach that helped her move through life’s most challenging chapters with steadiness and growth. Today, Caley is passionate about helping women develop intentional tools they can carry into every season of life — not just to endure it, but to experience it differently.

I've practiced gratitude before, but not like this. It is giving me consistency that is making a big difference in my life.

Life has a way of hardening us through stress, grief, and the things we carry from our past. What I love about this practice is that it gently invites us to soften again to come back to gratitude, awareness, and the light within us. I truly believe the impact of work like this doesn’t stop with us. When we heal, grow, and learn to show up more grounded and present, it naturally ripples into our families, our friendships, and the generations that follow. I’m grateful to be part of something that encourages women to grow, heal, and rediscover their light.

I’ve absolutely loved being part of the I AM: Journey program. It has been such an inspiring and powerful experience. Taking time each day to intentionally focus on gratitude has truly shifted my mindset in the best way. I’m noticing real changes in how I react and respond to everyday situations. I find myself pausing more often and feeling deep gratitude for the simple things in life that I might have rushed past before. It’s amazing how something so simple can create such meaningful change. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the I AM: Journey and to grow alongside such an amazing group of women!

This is my first time doing the I Am: Journey program. I have to say that I’ve been on my spiritual path for some time now, and it will never be a bad time to have a gratitude practice set that you can go back to time after time again. The greatest part of the program is being able to practice embodiment, which is actually feeling how you want to feel. This is the most important step in truly allowing change to take root in your life. If you want a transformation that lasts, this program is the one to commit to!
